Hi all of you loyal followers -
We departed lovely downtown Plymouth Meeting on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 and have safely arrived in Myrtle Beach South Carolina on Wednesday, September 23.
We had a very uneventful trip here - all but the rain that we hit in Virginia and North Carolina, but we cannot travel without it so we were very prepared.
Gus is doing extremely well with his injured leg getting in and out of the motorhome.
It is 87 degrees here at the beach and we are in the first site next to the beach.
The economy doesn't seem to be effecting the campground industry here in SC the campground is about 70% booked. The one we are at has 1900 sites. At $900 for a month they aren't doing too bad. Seasonal rates are at $6600.
As we entered the area the traffic is very heavy; we are hoping most of the people will be leaving the end of September.
We will keep you posted as to our adventures - who knows what we will be doing.
